Eggs Guide

Why eggs matter

Every Grow a Pet Fighter roster begins with an egg. Combat, fusion, and offline cash all assume you can hatch something and keep hatching when you need duplicates. This guide focuses on the starter egg path, how to read costs, and how to avoid myths copied from other Roblox pet games.

For the full loop, see How to Play. For first-hour pacing, see Getting Started.

A Strange Egg (starter)

At your base you will find A Strange Egg. Interacting with it starts the hatch flow. The game typically asks you to purchase food — often surfaced as a Food Bowl buy — before the egg opens.

Observed example (not a forever price)

A September 16 walkthrough recorded a Food Bowl purchase near $60 that hatched a Level 1 Frog. Other sessions produced a Lizard early. Your server may show a different dollar amount after balance patches. If a content creator still captions “$60 forever,” ignore the caption and read your prompt.

What you might hatch early

Observed early species include:

  • Frog
  • Lizard
  • Chicken (this game’s chicken — not a portal to Grow a Chicken Fighter codes)

Later or rarer observations include Kitsune, T-Rex, and baby dragon. The public list is incomplete; see the pets hub and tier list for how to treat new names.

We will not publish fake percentage tables pretending every egg weight is known. When the live UI shows odds, believe that panel.

Hatching checklist

  1. Confirm you are in Grow a Pet Fighter (place linked from Links).
  2. Approach A Strange Egg (or any newer egg the update added).
  3. Read the cash requirement carefully.
  4. Buy food / confirm the hatch.
  5. Check the pet’s level and name.
  6. Feed via Treat Bowl before the first Arena send — bones help, covered in Arena.
  7. Only then consider Tower or fusion.

Spending priority for egg money

Early cash should usually go to:

  1. The hatch that gets you any fighter.
  2. Food / Treat needs so the fighter can level.
  3. Additional hatches for duplicates once you clear basic Arena loops.
  4. Optional cosmetics or impulse buys last.

Blowing every coin on a second egg before you can feed the first pet slows Arena progress. Tower walls punish empty stomachs more than empty egg slots — see Tower.

After the first hatch

Once you own a pet:

  • Learn TO ARENA and bone routes (Arena).
  • Sample Tower floors with your best clearer (Tower).
  • Save duplicates for planned merges (Fusion).
  • Claim offline cash when you step away (Offline cash).

Eggs are the intake valve; fusion is the sink. Do not open the sink before the valve produces extras.

Thunder Egg note (group / rewards)

AccelToWin’s playthrough mentioned a Thunder Egg label inside group / rewards commentary (alongside rebirth talk and a ~25 Tower floor observation). Treat that as an observed reward label, not a full Nest→Scratch-style egg tree from other Roblox games. Confirm the live Rewards UI on Group rewards and never copy Chicken Fighter Thunder Egg routes here.

Event eggs and ended September content

Limited September event content has ended. If a video still shows an event egg timer, treat it as historical. Any event pets you already own remain; expired claim UI will not return just because a thumbnail looks exciting. Track timing on Updates.

Wrong-game egg lists

Guides for Grow a Chicken Fighter list chicken eggs, charms, and codes that do not apply here. Pet Fighters uses a different combat collection fantasy. If an “all eggs” article never mentions God Bless Zak 7 or A Strange Egg, it is probably about another experience.

Likewise, do not expect Codes to spawn eggs until a real redeem string exists — none were confirmed in October 2026 research.

Scripts that auto-hatch

Auto Hatch toggles on community loaders will spend cash whenever the menu thinks you can afford an egg. That can empty your balance before Tower attempts. If you experiment, use an alt and read Scripts first. Manual hatching teaches prices; macros hide them.

Quality-of-life habits

  • Screenshot rare hatches before any fusion session.
  • Write down new egg names after patches.
  • Rejoin if an egg interaction soft-locks.
  • Keep one “learning pet” even if a shinier hatch arrives — send the sturdy clearer to Tower.

Summary

Eggs start every Grow a Pet Fighter run. Interact with A Strange Egg, pay the Food Bowl (or equivalent) cost your server shows, hatch Frog/Lizard/Chicken-class starters, then feed and fight before chasing rarer names. Ignore frozen prices, ended event timers, and egg tables stolen from other Roblox games. When odds appear on-screen, that panel is your source of truth.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Where is the first egg?

A Strange Egg is at your base. Interact with it and follow the Food Bowl or food purchase prompt.

How much does hatching cost?

It changes. One September walkthrough saw about $60 for a Food Bowl hatch. Always use the live price.

What pets come from early eggs?

Frog, Lizard, and Chicken are commonly observed early. Rarer sightings include Kitsune, T-Rex, and baby dragon.

Are there secret egg codes?

No confirmed active codes as of October 2026 research. Do not redeem codes from other pet games.

Should I hatch or fight first after the first pet?

Feed and run Arena loops before spending every coin on more eggs. You need a clearer before duplicates matter.
